Described as being ‘the epitome of beauty’” by makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury - Kate Moss is undoubtedly a modern day beauty icon.  From her favourite red lip and smudgy smokey eye to a slicked back bun and barely there base, she has a knack of always looking effortlessly chic and timeless.

So in honour of the book launch of the year - Kate: The Kate Moss Book launching on Thursday 15th November, we’ve hunted down the best of her secret beauty tricks and tips, so you can try your hand at a bit of Moss style too...

Make-up

‘I love lipstick.  It makes me feel more ‘done’. I wear a beige lip in the day, but red when I’m going somewhere. I just slick it on, I don’t bother with lipliner’.

When it comes to base, Kate always opts for a natural, barely-there effect, so it’s no surprise that one of her favourites is the famously low-key complexion perfector Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, £25, Space.NK 

Hair

A fan of organic and natural ranges, one of Kate’s favourite hair products is Green People's Organic Shampoo. 'It's amazing,' she says. 'It seems to have changed my hair, plus, it's a shower gel.'  Aloe Vera Shampoo, £9.95.

But when she’s in need of something a touch more luxurious she turns to the range created by her best friend and hair stylist James Brown, usually opting for Photo Fabulous Moisturising Shampoo, £6.99, Boots.  

Fragrance

From fashion to beauty, Kate is a huge vintage fan.  Even naming one of her first forays into scent ‘Vintage’.  And one of her all time favourites – despite her edgy style is the pretty and delicate Penhaligon’s Bluebell edt £58, 

Skin

When it comes to looking after her skin, it seems Kate loves a rich, buttery moisturising cream to give her a glowing boost.  'I'm really into Crème de la Mer and Kiehl's Crème de Corps is a good body moisturiser,'' she reveals.
