We love when fashion serves to brighten up its environment, especially in the winter, so we have been grateful for the wash of neon, prints, and florals that have followed us from New York to Paris. But then, isn’t there also something about the always flattering, hopelessly classic appeal of basic black? Whether in cropped, tailored pants for day or floor-sweeping dresses for night, you rarely make a misstep when you fall back on the most elegant of staples.
