First Look: Kylie’s new fashion book
It’s called Kylie/Fashion
Kylie Minogue, singer, fashion muse, ELLE cover girl, movie star and childhood heroine to many of us born in the 1980’s is having a busy 2012 to be sure. As well as releasing her album The Abbey Road Sessions a couple of weeks hence, she has also been preparing to release a glossy photographic book.
Here at ELLE we’re so excited about the coffee table tome, we thought we’d share a few of the images with you today.
Called Kylie/Fashion, it is also part of her celebration of a quarter of a century in the music biz and will feature Kylie’s numerous collaborations with the world’s greatest fashion designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Stella McCartney and Christopher Kane.
If you’d like an authentic Kylie squiggle in your copy of the book, here’s a date for your diary - Kylie will be launching her new book ‘Kylie/Fashion’ exclusively at Harrods in London on Wednesday 28th November 2012. She will be signing a strictly limited number of books from 6:30pm
Jean Paul Gaultier Launches Streetwear Line
JEAN PAUL GAULTIER is launching a streetwear line for both men and women, to be unveiled in June next year. A name for the new label has not yet been disclosed.
The move follows a new licensing agreement with Italian clothing company Ittierre SpA, who will also produce the label's menswear line - commencing autumn/winter 2013-14. The designer's women's ready-to-wear collections will be manufactured by Gibò SpA, after a deal was made in October, WWD reports.
The streetwear line will reflect Gaultier's signature "sartorial" style and will be "close to the history of Ittierre and to the consumer", said Ittierre general director Alessandro Locatelli. The manufacturing business has previously produced young collections for brands including Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana.

British Fashion Awards 2012
LONDON'S style set descended on The Savoy Hotel tonight to celebrate the 2012 British Fashion Awards.
The designer to be seen in was Stella McCartney - who won both Designer of the Year and Designer Brand - with Salma Hayek, Victoria Pendleton, Gemma Arterton, Amber Le Bon and McCartney herself all wearing pieces from her eponymous label.
Model of the year winner Cara Delevingne arrived in a metallic Burberry shift dress, while Edie Campbell showed off her new short hairstyle with her Christopher Kane baby pink gown.

The new fragrance by the famous Italian company called The One Desire and will be released in early 2013.
A new potion will be added to the aromatic series The One's brand Dolce & Gabbana. This is the Ôhe One Desire, which is expected to become the object of desire of most women. The bottle of black with gold detailing, and fruity notes from litchi, mandarin and bergamot promise to excite the senses.
Muse of the new creation is bursting Scarlett Johansson. The glamorous actress, wearing a strapless lace dress posing in the lens of famous fashion photographer Terry Richardson for the needs of the campaign.

Dita Von Teese Lingerie Exclusive
DITA VON TEESE wasn't short of inspiration when she started designing her lingerie line, Von Follies - the entire top floor of her house is devoted to her vintage wardrobe, with three shelves devoted to luxurious underwear.
"I like to surround myself with luxury and beauty all the time," she told us. "I've been collecting vintage lingerie for 25 years - my collection is pretty huge now. I've always been fascinated by it, I used to sift through my mother's underwear drawer when I was young. I loved the idea of something that was feminine and functional."
Von Teese worked in a lingerie store from the age of 16, fuelling her love for artfully made beautiful undergarments and her interest in pin-up models. Having built a solid reputation as one of the world's leading burlesque dancers, she launched her debut underwear line in Australia in February this year. It has only recently become available to a British market, with stockists including ASOS and Debenhams. Price points are accessible, ranging from £12 for satin thongs to £32 for bras covered with lace and embroidered with bows.
"It wasn't easy," she said of the democratic pricing. "I had to ask the manufacturers a lot of questions about how much various fabrics cost, but I wanted to prove that it is possible to create something beautiful and affordable. There is no reason to wear a simple white bra when you can have this."
As you might expect, the collection is founded on a nostalgic play on modernity and inspired by items that the dancer owns herself.
"What prevents vintage from looking too dress-up is if you mix modern and vintage pieces," she explained. "That's what I do - and that's what I've done with this collection. Wear things that look modern. You have to have a discerning eye."
Von Teese has recently added a number of dresses to her fashion line - and we can hope to see the brand expand further in the future.
"I won't do shoes, because Christian Louboutin is one of my best friends and that's something he does very well," she laughed. "But I can see myself doing jewellery or handbags - I love both of those."
